Biography

Márton Nagy was born in 1997 in Vásárosnamény. He started studying classical guitar at the local music school with his teacher Ágnes Balogh. He continued his studies with Erika Czakó at the Nyiregyháza Secondary Vocational School of Art. In 2016 he was accepted to the Franz Liszt Academy of Music where he was studying with Franz Liszt price winning guitarist József Eötvös. During the 2018/2019 school year he was the recipient of the Bank of China scholarship. In 2019 he started studying in Poznań on the Music Academy I. J. Paderewski with Lukasz Kuropaczewski. Since October 2021 he is studying in the class of Paolo Pegoraro in Graz at the University of Music and Performing Arts. In 2023 he graduated as Teacher of Music Performance (Guitar) at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, Budapest.

Between 2020 and 2021 he was supported by the New National Excellence Program of the Ministry of Human Capacities.

He has played in masterclasses with artists such as, Giampaolo Bandini, Manuel Barrueco, Margarita Escarpa, Ricardo Gallén, Alvaro Pierri and Judicael Perroy.
